“The high-tech nature of our seed-growing enterprises allows us to grow high-quality seeds, and in this tandem we plan to cooperate with the Institute for plant breeding and breeding of high breeding quality of dairy cattle. The crown of this will be the creation of a joint breeding and seed center, which will provide both the Siberian Federal District and the nearest ones - the Far Eastern and Ural Districts, and neighboring countries - these are Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, with breeding stock and high-quality seeds of agricultural crops," he said. he.
The corresponding agreement between the company and the Institute of Cytology and Genetics was signed at the Technoprom forum.
The project involves the construction of a scientific laboratory and phytotron complexes, a seed plant with an initial capacity of 40 thousand tons per year, a logistics center and the necessary related infrastructure. At the start of the project, 100 hectares will be allocated for breeding and experimental fields, and subsequently the area is planned to be tripled.
On August 23, an agreement was signed at the forum to establish another center for the production of crop seeds. The agreement was signed by the Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) of the Novosibirsk Region, the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and ZAO Zarechnoye. First of all, the center will supply crops that need to be imported - hops, beets and potatoes.
