According to the results of the forage harvesting campaign, agricultural enterprises of the Kostroma region provided themselves with the necessary amount of feed and are currently working on harvesting potatoes and vegetables. The Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergei Sitnikov stressed that in those areas where, due to weather conditions, it will not be possible to harvest vegetables by a mechanized method, it will be possible for local residents to collect them for their own needs.
“I appeal to the department and ask the district authorities to join this issue. Let's not leave it all to rot in the ground, but let people collect it for personal use, ”the head of the region noted.
In general, today in the Kostroma region potatoes have been harvested from an area of over 975 hectares and vegetables from an area of over 103 hectares. The department of the agro-industrial complex notes that this year in the region an extremely high yield of potatoes was noted.
