Vegetable farms in the Engels district of the Saratov region have sown 10 hectares of early vegetables - onions and carrots, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reports.
“Despite the precipitation from April 13 to 17 in all municipal districts of the region and the partial suspension of agricultural work, the region’s farmers continued to fertilize winter crops and harrow,” Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the region, said today.
To date, 113,7 thousand hectares have been fenced. Moisture closure is carried out in 16 right-bank and 12 left-bank municipal districts: Balashovsky, Turkovsky, Atkarsky, Romanovsky, Rtishchevsky, Samoilovsky, Kalininsky, Voskresensky, Saratovsky Engelssky, Marksovsky, Krasnokutsky, Dergachevsky, Ozinsky and a number of others.
Winter crops are fed in 36 districts of the region.
Deliveries of mineral fertilizers are carried out within the framework of shipment schedules. Taking into account the volumes purchased last autumn, the region already has 129 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, including 90,5 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers.
At 81% of the need - 74 thousand tons - the farmers of the region are provided with diesel fuel.
Seeds of cereals and leguminous crops were covered in full demand - 135,6 thousand tons. Seeds of corn, sunflower, sugar beet, taking into account the contracts, are available in full.
