The Czech company Skoda plans to use environmentally friendly materials for the production of trim elements for car interiors.
The company has already released in a single copy a special version of the Octavia model, in which the door panels and pillars are trimmed from the miscanthus plant, and the inserts in the front panel and doors are made from sugar beet products.
The specialists of the concern are engaged in the development of special materials together with scientists from the Technical University in Liberec (Czech Republic). In addition to beet and miscanthus waste, it is planned to use rice shells and coconut fiber in the decoration.
