According to the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoztsentr" in the Amur Region, for the harvest of 2021, the farms of the region prepared 3010 tons of varietal potato seeds. Of these, 900 tons have been tested. 70 tons of seed potatoes belong to the super-super-elite category, 90 tons - to the super-elite category. Elite potato seeds make up 330 tons, 83% of tubers are reproductive seeds.
Among the farms in the region that cultivate potatoes for sale, today the most popular varieties of potatoes are Sante (Dutch selection) and Zekura (German selection). The super-super-elite is represented by two varieties: Lina (Russian selection) and Rosara (German selection).
The super-elite potatoes are represented by eight varieties. Six of them are domestic selection: Luck, Smak, Meteor, Krepysh, Kazachok and Zhukovsky early.
Note that in 2020, fourteen different varieties of potatoes were grown in the region. Most of them are approved for use in 12 regions: Sante, Zekura, Adretta, Rosara, Udacha, Smak, Meteor, Lina, Krepysh, Kazachok and Zhukovsky early.
