Students of universities from 2022 will be able to find a job under a fixed-term contract for agricultural enterprises, the project on employment of students to agrarians will be expanded, said Anna Korpen, Acting Deputy Director of the Department for Development of Rural Areas of the Ministry of Agriculture. This is reported by TASS.
Speaking at the All-Russian Forum of Rural Youth in Mordovia, Korpen recalled that now university students can do practical training at agricultural enterprises.
“Starting next year, we plan to expand this program [of a departmental project to promote rural employment]. If now our program is limited by the terms of practice, then we plan to move away from this a little and provide the opportunity to simply conclude a fixed-term employment contract, not necessarily during the practice period, which will even allow, not necessarily applying to a university, to get a job with an agricultural producer, get the necessary experience, and the agricultural producer will receive support from the state for this, ”Korpen said.
According to her, the program will allow the employer to receive qualified personnel in the necessary areas, and the future employee will be able to acquire the necessary qualifications and in the future find a job at the enterprise.
In addition, the deputy director of the department drew attention to the fact that the enterprises participating in the program receive co-financing from the state.
“We co-finance up to 90 percent of the costs that the manufacturer spends on training, and this can be costs not only for the training itself. If the agricultural producer and the employee agree on this and describe it in the corresponding agreement, we will also compensate for housing costs, scholarships, and transportation costs. That is, the whole sector of expenses can be compensated, ”added Anna Korpen.
