In the general rating of the largest owners of Russian farmland, compiled by BEFL companies for May 2021, there are 66 companies, the total volume of the rating's land bank was about 15,4 million hectares.
For the first time in the history of the rating, this year the composition and positions of the top ten leaders did not change, despite the increase in the land bank by Agrocomplex (+7 thousand hectares), a significant increase in EkoNiva-APK (+31 thousand hectares) and a slight decrease the land bank of the Rusagro Group of Companies (-6 thousand hectares).
Agroholding Steppe continues to increase its land bank, but remains on the sixth line, while the rest of the top ten companies did not change over the year, except for modest adjustments to land banks under the control of the AGROINVEST Group and the Avangard-Agro Group of Companies.
Leaving the rating this year "Fertility" (a crop company of the "Acron" group) due to the reduction of the land bank, the company "Rostovskaya Niva", whose assets were bought by the "GAP Resource" group, as well as "Ivolga-Holding". With a break of one year, the Agrico company returned to the rating. In addition, seven more new companies were added to the rating, among which the Sibagro group should be noted. In a short period of time, the group not only radically increased its land bank, but also made its debut in the ranking in the top twenty.
Over the past 9 years, the rating has expanded from 30 to 66 companies, and the land bank has grown by more than 8 million hectares: from 7,2 million hectares to 15,4 million hectares.
