In January-April 2021, Ukraine reduced potato imports by 12,4% to 148,2 thousand tons compared to the same period last year (169,17 thousand tons). This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, writes Latifundist.com.
In monetary terms, exports in the reporting period reached $ 35,12 million, which is 7% more than in the first 4 months of 2020 ($ 32,83 million).
The main countries (in monetary terms) from which potatoes were imported from the beginning of 2021 were:
Poland - by $ 13,22 million (37,6%);
Netherlands - by $ 4,33 million (12,3%);
Germany - by $ 3,69 million (10,5%);
Lithuania - by $ 3,58 million (10,2%);
Latvia - by $ 2,2 million (6,3%).
At the same time, in January-April 2021, Ukraine exported 139 tons of potatoes worth $ 43 thousand.
