The Ukrainian company DroneUA managed to grow several potato tubers without human intervention, using robotic farms. The tubers are still the size of beans, but the reason for this, according to the developers, is only in the absence of patience.
This was announced by company representative Valery Yakovenko on his page on the social network Facebook.
“Today we harvested the first potato crop with the help of our robotic farms. The entire crop fit on one palm - just a few small tubers the size of beans. But they were grown without human participation, and that is precisely why this is an achievement, ”said Valery Yakovenko.
He also said that DroneUA is currently continuing to work on new lighting systems and plant care algorithms.
“It is these farms and other devices without human involvement in routine processes that are the future.”
