More than thirty farms in the Tyumen region have started harvesting. This is reported by the Department of the agro-industrial complex of the Tyumen region.
Despite the vagaries of the weather, more than thirty farms of the region have already started threshing grain and leguminous crops, showing the yield at the level of previous years. So, as of August 20, 2018, more than 12 thousand hectares have been threshed, which is about two percent of the planned. The gross harvest is 35 thousand tons with a yield of 28 centners per hectare.
Winter crops are harvested in Berdyuzhsky, Isetsky, Ishimsky, Tyumensky, Uporovsky, Yarkovsky districts and Zavodoukovsky urban district. Threshing of spring grains is carried out in nine districts of the region. In addition, four districts have started harvesting peas. Also, in the regions, work is underway to prepare crops of grain and leguminous crops for threshing. Since the beginning of harvesting, almost three thousand hectares have been cut into swaths, more than eight thousand have been desiccated. And the agrarians of the Tyumen region even began sowing winter grain crops already for the 2019 harvest.
The harvesting of vegetables and potatoes is going on at an active pace. So, eight farms of Tyumensky, Uporovsky districts and Zavodoukovsky urban district harvested 77 thousand hectares of root crops, having collected more than 1700 tons. The yield is even higher so far in 2017 and 2016 - 228 centners per hectare.
In four districts of the region, 105 hectares of open field vegetables were also harvested. Basically, these are cabbage and beets. In the Uporovskiy district, they started harvesting carrots. The gross harvest is almost four thousand tons, thus farmers show a high yield of vegetables - 372 centners per hectare. In addition, in almost all districts of the region, work began on autumn soil cultivation.
