Damage to agriculture in the Primorsky Territory from the flood is tentatively estimated at 180 million rubles, almost 5 thousand hectares of crops were affected by the disaster, the press service of the Territory Administration reported on Wednesday citing acting Director of the Department of Agriculture and Food of Primorye, Alexei Taran.
“To date, applications have been received from 48 farms, nearly five thousand hectares of crops have been affected. The preliminary damage amounted to 180 million rubles, "- the press service quotes the words of Taran.
The head of the department noted that Ussuriysk and the Oktyabrsky district suffered the most damage from the rains, where crops of potatoes, vegetables, soy and wheat were flooded.
It is noted that the amount of damage may increase, as the field survey continues.
On the night of August 7, showers occurred in the south of Primorye, which led to a flood. In five municipalities in the south of the region - Khasansky, Nadezhdinsky, Oktyabrsky, Mikhailovsky districts and Ussuriysky urban district - residential buildings, roads, agricultural land were flooded. There is an emergency mode in the region. As of Wednesday morning, 28 villages remain flooded in the region, in which 577 houses and 2053 adjoining territories were in the water.
