Kazakhstan reports a sharp decline in demand for potatoes from Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported that since October 2017, demand from Uzbekistan has declined sharply due to the start of harvesting its own potato crop.
In January-August 2017, the total volume of potato export from Kazakhstan amounted to 107,4 thousand tons for $ 17,4 million, of which in January-April - 76 thousand tons of last year's crop.
At the same time, Uzbekistan was the main export country, to which 106,6 thousand tons worth $ 17,3 million were shipped, trend.az reports.
