The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, visited the Baimaksky district of the republic, where he got acquainted with the work of the MTS "Zauralie Agro".
The general director of the agricultural enterprise, Rustam Sungurov, said that this year they started spring field work on May 2 and have already completed them by 50%, they plan to finish them by May 22. MTS "Zauralie Agro" operates on the territory of four regions of the republic.
The Baymak branch is engaged in both crop production and animal husbandry. The arable land of the agricultural enterprise is more than 13 thousand hectares. Agrarians are sowing wheat, sunflower and corn this year. Last year, through Rosagroleasing, MTS acquired new agricultural equipment, and through government subsidies, elite varieties of seeds were purchased.
The Agrodinamika group of companies, which previously worked in the Saratov and Penza regions, plans to build irrigation systems here next year on an area of more than 2,5 thousand hectares, and more than 10 thousand areas for land reclamation are planned in total.
Financial Director of the project Anastasia Kalyagina noted that land reclamation will affect the territories of Abzelilovsky, Baymaksky, Uchalinsky and Khaibullinsky districts of the republic. Earlier the project was presented at Investchase. It will improve fertility in the arid part of Bashkortostan, increase the region's export potential and create 200 new jobs. The volume of investments will exceed 4 billion rubles. Anastasia Kalyagina stressed that Agrodynamics already has a successful experience in implementing a similar project in the arid regions of the Saratov region.
“We will be engaged in irrigation of lands that are not yet occupied for crop growing, we plan to grow there not only corn and sunflower, but also wheat,” Kalyagina said.
The head of Bashkortostan noted that he still has doubts and worries about whether there will be questions about providing the settlements of the Trans-Urals with drinking water, which local residents need.
“After the development of design and estimate documentation, we will conduct a mandatory environmental impact assessment so that neither people nor our production suffer from water shortage,” explained Anastasia Kalyagina.
“The idea of irrigation and reclamation of agricultural land in the Trans-Urals, where drought often occurs, was back in Soviet times. It turns out that we will be pioneers in this matter. This would be effective for all areas of the Trans-Urals. We will provide the investor with all support measures. I want to reassure the population, there will be no shortage of water, there will be enough for everyone, ”said Radiy Khabirov in a conversation with journalists.
