The head of Chuvashia gathered an emergency meeting on emergency situations. He talked about a drought that killed crops. For this reason, an emergency regime has been introduced in four regions of the republic. This was reported by the press service of the Chuvash authorities.
So, on Thursday, July 26, it became known that an emergency regime was introduced in Batyrevsky, Komsomolsky, Shemurshinsky and Tsivilsky districts. The administrations of these regions conduct surveys of crops affected by unfavorable weather conditions.
Meteorological station Batyrevo, in the observation zone of which there are Batyrevsky, Komsomolsky, Shemurshinsky and Yalchiksky districts, as well as an agrometeorological post in Tsivilsk, mark soil drought. This phenomenon is dangerous. It dries up the soil and causes the leaves to dry out. The share of 5 districts, where drought was noted, account for 41,7% of the area of potatoes, 38,9% of other vegetables and 29,7% of grain and leguminous crops.
Recall that in 2017, 165 agricultural producers in 19 municipal districts in Chuvashia suffered from adverse natural events. The area of death of agricultural crops was 19,6 thousand hectares. Damage from dead crops amounted to 265,3 million rubles.
