In July, prices for white cabbage in Russia fell by 34,5%, potatoes fell by 21,2%, according to Rosstat.
Beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, bananas and lemons became cheaper by 8,3-15,2%. At the same time, apples and oranges went up (by 6,4% and 8%, respectively).
In July, prices in Russia fell by a third of the observed types of food products, said Rosstat.
Buckwheat began to cost 2,5% less, live and chilled fish fell 1,1%.
At the same time, prices for national cheeses and feta cheese, honey and ice cream increased by 0,4-0,8%. Russian salmon caviar, chilled and frozen salmon fish, as well as canned fish and butter, became 0,4-0,6% more expensive. Rice prices rose 0,3%.
Prices for lunch in canteens, cafes and eateries increased by 0,4%.
