On July 6, a meeting on the development of the country's reclamation complex was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. The event, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dzhambulat Khatuov, was attended by the heads of regional management bodies of the agro-industrial complex and specialized federal institutions, as well as representatives of design organizations.
The importance of land reclamation for the development of the country's agro-industrial complex was noted by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Direct Line. Currently, the state pays great attention to this area, allocating significant state support funds for it. During the meeting, the participants discussed the implementation of the federal targeted investment program, within the framework of which, in 2021, it is planned to reconstruct more than one hundred ameliorative objects of federal property worth almost 8 billion rubles. Dzhambulat Khatuov urged to strengthen the work on the disbursement of funds and the conclusion of relevant contracts.
Also at the event, the issue of design of land reclamation facilities was considered. The state annually provides support in this area, last year funding for design and survey work exceeded 890 million rubles.
As noted at the meeting, in 2021, a drought was recorded in a number of regions of the country, in particular in Bashkiria. The First Deputy Minister instructed to strengthen control over the provision of water supply to farmers and take all the necessary measures for the efficient use of available water resources.
