The draft Concept for Support and Promotion of Agricultural Products, Food, and Beverages with Appellations of Origin (NIPT) was presented in July by Dmitry Krasnov, Director of the Information Policy and Special Projects Department.
The strategic goal of the developed program is to increase the production and export of domestic food sub-brands. In particular, the implementation of the concept will allow by 2025 to increase the export of products from NIPT to 27 billion rubles, and the volume of substituted food imports could reach 83 billion rubles. The projected cumulative economic effect of the production and sale of Russian agricultural products, food and beverages with NIPT in the domestic and foreign markets will be at least 500 billion rubles by 2025.
Qualitative effects from the implementation of the Concept will lead to an increase in the number of exporters and their regional diversification, the opening of new markets for agricultural products, increased food security, support for rural areas and small businesses, development
agricultural cooperation.
