“LLC“ NPK “Arksid” plans to implement in the Murmansk region an investment project to organize the production of full-cycle seed potatoes with a production volume of up to 7,5 thousand tons per year. At present, a site is being searched for the implementation of this project; the investor has previously selected a land plot with an area of 345 hectares in the Tersk region, "Varich said.
He clarified that the investor's interest in the Murmansk region is associated with the special phytosanitary conditions of the territory, namely, with the minimal risks of transferring diseases and parasites of potatoes (aphids, Colorado potato beetle), in the Murmansk region such production and in such volumes will be organized for the first time.
According to the ministry, the development of a resource-saving technology for the production of original and elite potato seed growing, adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the Arctic zone of the Murmansk region, and the technological support of the project is being carried out by the St. Petersburg State Agrarian University.
“The project is supposed to create over 60 new jobs with high wages for the agricultural sector (60 thousand rubles). The volume of additional revenues to the consolidated budget of the Murmansk region is estimated at 56,3 million rubles, ”he said. about. minister.
