A new line for deep freezing of vegetables and berries was put into operation in the Krasnobakovsky district on the basis of the Vetluga agricultural complex. The investment project was implemented with state support. The other day the enterprise was visited by the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrei Sanosyan, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Nikolai Denisov and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the region Maxim Cherkasov.
“Deep freezing of agricultural products is a very promising direction in the development of the agro-industrial complex. In a frozen state, products can be stored for a long time, remaining the same useful, without losing their taste and presentation. In general, the current situation on the market is favorable for agricultural producers, these products are in demand, including for export abroad, ”said Andrei Sanosyan.
The Deputy Governor stressed that today a number of investment projects are being implemented in the region aimed at the development of the agro-industrial complex, including vegetable growing.
“Some projects are related to growing products, others to processing and logistics. Thus, the total amount of investments in such projects, which, in particular, are supported by the Corporation for the Development of Nizhny Novgorod Investments, is over 25 billion rubles, "Andrei Sanosyan emphasized.
Investments in the creation of a line for deep freezing of products in the Vetluga agricultural complex amounted to about 140 million rubles. The company has created about 30 new jobs. The project was implemented with financial support from the regional budget - the interest rate on the loan was subsidized to the enterprise under the program of the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Agriculture. In addition to concessional lending, the company enjoys such types of state support as subsidies per hectare of sown area, as well as for elite seed production. In total, since the beginning of 2020, the volume of state support for the enterprise has exceeded 12 million rubles.
Director of Agrofrost LLC (part of the Vetluga agricultural complex) Sergei Shchavlev said that the equipment is being commissioned.
“We plan to reach full capacity within three months - this is the ability to process two tons per hour of root crops, berries or mushrooms. Frozen products can be used in various food industry enterprises. It can be used to make jams, mixes or sell it in stores by weight, ”said Sergei Shchavlev.
The Agrokombinat also grows carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, currants, and sea buckthorn on its land.
“The frozen product allows us to provide the population with vegetables, berries, mushrooms throughout the year. In addition, the company is actively introducing new land into circulation, and now the question of expanding the area is being raised again. The main thing is that the managers have worked out the technology and know how to market their product, ”said Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The head of the local government of the Krasnobakovsky district, Nikolai Smirnov, said that sandy clay soils with a low humus content prevail in the district, therefore each operating agricultural enterprise is extremely important for the municipality.
As previously reported by the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin, a total of 2021 billion rubles will be allocated to support the agro-industrial complex and the development of rural areas of the region in 4,6, which is more than 10% more than the amount of funding in 2020.
