The commissioning of the first phase of the ORC is scheduled for the 2nd quarter of 2020. On an area of more than one hundred thousand square meters, up to 95 thousand tons of various agricultural products can be simultaneously stored.
The facilities of the center include freezing and multi-temperature warehouses, vegetable stores, wholesale pavilions, Built-to-Suit facilities for large customers and other facilities. A modern warehouse infrastructure designed specifically for operations with food products and equipped with all necessary equipment will allow for reverse and long-term storage, refinement (sorting, calibration, dry cleaning, washing, sorting), packaging, phytosanitary and veterinary control, pre-sale preparation, as well as formation of consignments, transportation and wholesale of products.
Thus, the ORC will provide a full range of services on a “field to shelf” basis. At the same time, suppliers of agricultural products will be both large agricultural enterprises and small farms, personal subsidiary farms of citizens, agricultural cooperatives. A “shelf” can be located anywhere in the world: one of the tasks of the ORC is the interregional redistribution of products and the organization of export supplies.
The Novosibirsk facility will become one of the links in the federal network of distribution and distribution centers of the RosAgroMarket holding, which is designed to increase the efficiency of the country's food sector and create a unified trade and logistics space on its territory.
