In Lakes near Moscow, a project is being implemented to build two new warehouse complexes for storing vegetables.
Agreements between the government of the Moscow Region and the agricultural enterprise Ozery JSC on ensuring the implementation of the investment project were signed on April 22.
“Increasing the production of vegetables and potatoes is one of the key challenges for ensuring food security. The construction of two complexes will increase the total storage capacity of the enterprise's vegetables by 2 tons. The expected volume of investments in the creation of the complex will be about 000 million rubles,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region.
The project is scheduled to be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
To date, the farm has created a network of storage facilities, which allows selling products from the moment of laying and until May next year. Growing early varieties of potatoes and vegetables will allow for the sale of products from the garden in the remaining period.
The direction for the production of potatoes and vegetables is allocated to a separate block of agriculture, support for agricultural producers engaged in the cultivation of potatoes and other vegetables is carried out within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Agriculture and the Regulation of Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Food Markets.
