The harvesting campaign for cereals, legumes and oilseeds in the Moscow region is coming to an end, about 95% of all sown areas have been harvested, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region reports.
“Currently, grain and leguminous crops have been harvested on an area of 155 thousand hectares, which is 93% of the plan, the gross harvest amounted to 518,9 thousand tons with a yield of 33,8 centners per hectare. Oilseeds have been harvested from an area of 25,8 thousand hectares, the gross harvest amounted to 61,2 thousand tons with a yield of 23,7 centners per hectare, which is 3 times more than last year. In the coming week we plan to complete the collection of these crops, ”said the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Andrei Razin.
He added that active harvesting of potatoes and vegetables in the open field is ongoing.
“As of September 30, potatoes were dug from an area of 7,5 thousand hectares in the amount of 181,8 thousand tons with a yield of 242 centners per hectare and vegetables were harvested from an area of 3,6 thousand hectares in the amount of 103,7 thousand tons,” Razin added.
