The Tambov region demonstrates a steady pace of development of the agro-industrial complex. The progress of seasonal field work this year was assessed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Andrey Razin during a working trip to the region, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reports.
Agriculture of the region specializes in the cultivation of such crops as oilseeds, sugar beets, and potatoes. This year, the region plans to expand the sown area, including under winter wheat and borscht vegetables. In this case, special attention is paid to potatoes.
The growth in the volume of agricultural products is due to the implementation of large investment projects. The annual volume of investments in the agro-industrial complex of the region is about 30 billion rubles.
During the working trip, the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture visited a number of agricultural enterprises, Andrey Razin got acquainted with the progress of planting potatoes, sowing vegetables and soybeans at Tambovagrofood LLC.
He noted that the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia expects the positive dynamics in the agriculture of the Tambov region to continue. For its part, the Ministry will continue to provide agrarians in the region with comprehensive support aimed at stimulating production and increasing the efficiency of enterprises in the industry.
