In the Tver region is actively harvesting and harvesting feed. Cereals were harvested on an area of more than 29,8 thousand ha, the gross harvest amounted to 70,2 thousand tons - almost 10 thousand tons more than in the same period in 2018.
Also, last year's gross harvest of potatoes increased by 1 thousand tons. According to the latest data, 5 thousand tons of crops were harvested from 76,1 thousand hectares.
Flax was harvested on an area of 3,4 thousand ha. Grasses are mowed on an area of 107 thousand ha. 123,4 thousand tons of hay, 118,1 thousand tons of haylage, 155,2 thousand tons of silage, roughage and succulent feed were harvested - 18,4 centners of feed units per conditional livestock head. In addition, about 9 thousand hectares of agricultural land were plowed for winter crops.
“The main task in the agro-industrial complex is to ensure the production of demanded products on our lands”, - Governor Igor Ruden believes.
According to the head of the region, it is also important to maintain investment activity in the agricultural sector.
On September 3, 2019, the Government of the Tver region signed an agreement on the implementation of a large investment project in the Tver region. It is planned to build modern high-tech dairy farms and a milk processing plant in the Kashinsky urban district, the volume of investments will amount to 18 billion rubles.
The agreement was signed by Governor Igor Rudenya, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant Vladimir Lisin, General Director of LLC Rumelko-Agro Valery Nekhaev, Head of the Kashinsky City District German Balandin.
In addition, the Coral enterprise announced the implementation of new investment projects in the Upper Volga region. The company plans to create 6 new pig breeding complexes in the region, as well as a breeding and genetic center. The planned volume of investments is 8,8 billion rubles. It is also planned to put into circulation more than 22 thousand hectares of agricultural land.
