The Volgogradtruboplast company launched a unique line for shock freezing of vegetables.
The investment project with a total value of 545,2 million rubles, which started in 2018, was supported at the regional level, and also received a loan from the Fund for the Perspective Development of the Volgograd Region.
The high-tech production uses modern climatic equipment. The facility has four vegetable processing lines: cauliflower, onion, sweet pepper and carrot. Later, the assortment will be expanded with broccoli, zucchini, eggplant, zucchini, and tomatoes. More than 25 tons of vegetables can be stored in a low-temperature chamber (minus 600 degrees) at a time.
The lines will be commissioned in stages - until the end of November. The design capacity of the enterprise is 20 tons of processing per day, 7,2 thousand tons of finished products per year.
To provide raw materials, contracts were signed with agricultural producers of the Volgograd region.
“We are working to create a single production chain on the territory of the Volgograd Region, including the production, storage, processing and sale of products,” said Governor of the region Andrei Bocharov. “A number of investment projects have already been implemented, thanks to which the storage area has been doubled - up to 320 thousand tons, and the processing volumes - up to 440 thousand tons”.
Today, 37% of the produced fruit and vegetable products are processed at the enterprises of the region, 27% of the grown crop is provided with storage.
New directions of processing are being actively introduced in the region: in addition to the complex for shock freezing, a production for drying vegetables is being prepared (Prompostavka LLC).
