The construction of an irrigated plot with an area of 278 hectares has started in the Ilovlinsky district. In total, in 2021, the region will have to increase the irrigated wedge by 7,5 thousand hectares, as a result of which the area of reclamation objects will reach 74,6 thousand hectares.
In the Ilovlinsky District, the construction of an irrigated area has been started by OOO Berdievsky Elevator Agro. The project is being implemented within the framework of the regional project "Export of agricultural products". With the help of land reclamation, the Ilovlin agrarians intend to increase grain production: on a plot of 278 hectares, where four pumps and six sprinklers will be installed, they plan to grow corn for the foreign market.
It is worth noting that the company is developing other areas as well, including initiating a large-scale investment project to create a cattle farm for meat production for 1000 heads with a feed yard for 600 heads. The company is planning to create on the territory of the Bolsheivanovsky rural settlement. In turn, crop production will provide the livestock with feed in full.
According to Marina Morozova, Chairperson of the Volgograd Region Agriculture Committee, this approach is a vivid example of the transition of the region's farms to diversified production, which ensures the economic sustainability of agricultural enterprises.
In total, in 2021, the Volgograd region intends to commission about 7,5 thousand hectares of irrigation, of which 1,38 thousand hectares under the project "Export of agricultural products". The first of the projects planned for 2021 has already been put into operation - a land reclamation facility with an area of 533,5 hectares was commissioned by the Leader company in the Nikolaevsky district.
Recall that in 2020, the region added 8,6 thousand hectares of irrigated fields, including 2,6 thousand hectares - within the framework of the federal project "Export of agricultural products". In total, over the past seven years, the irrigated area in the region as a whole has grown by more than 50% compared to 2014, amounting to 2020 thousand hectares by the end of 67,1. In the Volgograd region, the development of agriculture is a priority - Governor Andrei Bocharov pays special attention to the implementation of projects in the agro-industrial complex. State support for land reclamation has increased 8 times over seven years, this stimulates farms to create new facilities. In 2021, more than 611 million rubles are allocated to support agricultural producers creating irrigated areas.
An integrated approach to the development of the agro-industrial complex gives results. For example, the gross harvest of vegetables in the region has tripled to 1 million tons. The volume of production of other crops that are in demand, including those abroad, has significantly increased.
