Continental Farmers Group has commissioned a new potato storage facility. Investments in the project amounted to UAH 111,4 million.
A potato storage with an area of more than 6 thousand square meters is located in the village of Chukva (Sambir district, Lviv region). The complex is designed for the simultaneous storage of 16 thousand tons of marketable potatoes and is one of the largest in Ukraine. The storage is ground-based, has 6 chambers, each with a capacity of 2650 tons. Potatoes can be stored in bulk for up to 10 months without minimal loss of quality. The complex is equipped with ventilation equipment, humidity and CO2 levels are automatically controlled.
Note that Continental Farmers Group annually grows potatoes on an area of about 2 thousand hectares, constantly improving technologies and expanding production capacities. After the commissioning of the new complex, the enterprise has the opportunity to simultaneously store more than 100 thousand tons of potatoes throughout the year. The total area under potatoes this production season is 1,8 thousand hectares. Now the company has its own starch plant in its assets.
