Gastronomic tourism today is a global trend. This is an effective tool, and in some cases, a locomotive promoting countries in the tourism market. Today, in the direction of gastrotourism in Russia there is a huge field for business development.
The main advantage of gastronomic tours is that they do not depend on the season.
Gastrotourism attracts investment in the regions, increases the tourist flow, develops local business, creates new jobs, contributes to the preservation of culture and the environment.
The development of gastronomic tourism in rural and remote areas of our country increases employment and living standards. Russia, as a multinational country with a vast territory, rich in historical and cultural heritage, has great potential for the development of gastronomic tourism.
Actual issues of cultural and gastronomic tourism in Russia will be discussed by the participants of the round table “Rural tourism as a driver of rural development”.
The event will take place on May 14, 2019 in Pavilion No. 75 of VDNH as part of the business program of the Farmer's Life 2019 Salon.
The organizer of the round table is the Committee of the Council of the Federation for Agricultural and Food Nature Management.
