From March 10 to April 11, 2023, an all-Russian vote is being held in Russia to choose a national organic brand. It is held as part of the second National Organic Competition, organized under the auspices of the Federation Council together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Roskachestvo with the support of the Organica Foundation. Regulations on the Competition approved by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev and First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrey Yatskin.
"People's Organic Brand" - one of the 11 nominations of the competition this year, and at the same time special. In this nomination, the winner will be determined by the consumers themselves through direct voting, which takes place from March 10 to April 11 at Roskachestvo website - Secretariat of the competition.
The nomination includes 23 manufacturers from 18 regions of Russia. Among them there are also potato farms (Peasant farm "Victoria", products — potatoes, Tver region; IP Klindukh R.V., products — potatoes, Primorsky Krai). All of them have certificates of compliance with the requirements for organic products, that is, they produce real organics.
“The organic trend is gaining momentum in our country, which can be seen from the coverage of regions in this nomination. In 2022, 18 brands from 13 subjects were declared in the nomination. More than 15000 people cast their votes, identifying the people's brand as LVZ Saransky LLC from the Republic of Mordovia. We expect that this year there will be more votes, as for more people, the environmental friendliness of goods becomes an important factor when choosing.”, - commented in Secretariat of the Competition - Roskachestvo.
