According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, for 8 months of 2022, Russian farmers increased their purchases of mineral fertilizers by 20% - up to 4,3 million tons (in terms of 100% of the active substance - a.i.) compared to the same period last year, reports RAPU official website. Thus, in January-August this year, the domestic agro-industrial complex purchased more mineral fertilizers than in the whole of 2020.
President of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAPU) Andrey Guryev: “The plan of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture for the purchase of mineral fertilizers for 2022, taking into account the accumulated balances, has already been implemented by almost 90%. The remaining volume has already been contracted and included in the production schedule until the end of the year. There is all the necessary infrastructure for transshipment and storage of mineral fertilizers to ensure seasonal field work throughout the country. The annual supply plan will be overfulfilled.”
Recall that during the "All-Russian Field Day - 2022" in the Kaliningrad region on July 29, 2022, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev said that this year the volume of purchases of mineral fertilizers by agricultural producers will reach 5 million tons of active weight, and the application rate will reach 60 kg / ha. The Minister also stressed that by 2030 the volume of purchases of mineral fertilizers should be increased to 8 million tons of AI.
