The State Duma adopted a bill on the obligation of foreign agricultural producers to pay on an ongoing basis for laboratory tests of samples and samples of regulated products imported into the Russian Federation.
According to the current regulations, the research was to be carried out at the expense of the owners until January 1, 2021, and then at the expense of the federal budget of the Russian Federation. At the same time, domestic agricultural producers are obliged to pay for laboratory tests of samples and samples of regulated products at their own expense, including when moving such products to a neighboring region.
The bill, introduced by the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexei Gordeev and the head of the Committee on Agrarian Issues Vladimir Kashin, proposed extending the existing rule until 2023. However, by the second reading, the relevant committee approved the amendment, which makes the period indefinite.
