Based on the results of the 2022-2023 production season. At the August-Alabuga enterprise, 12% more funds were produced to combat weeds, pests and plant diseases than in the same period last year: 20,5 million liters against 18,3 million liters. The range includes 21 product names. Last season, it was supplemented with two preparations: the Oplot Trio seed treater in the form of a water-suspension concentrate (WSC) and the Borey Neo insecticide in the form of a suspension concentrate (SC).
Plant "August-Alabuga" is an enterprise for the production of liquid formulations of pesticides for large-scale production, one of the production sites of the company "August". The plant continues to systematically increase the production of pesticides: for example, during the production season (from September to August) 2019–2020. the enterprise produced 10,5 million liters of drugs, a year later - 12,3 million liters, next season - 18,3 million liters, and by the end of the 2022-2023 season. - 20,5 million liters. Thus, within four years, the plant's productivity doubled. Production volumes in May 2023 set a record, when 3,16 million liters of CPPP were produced during the month.
In the 2022–2023 season at the enterprise "August-Alabuga" the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity" continued, thanks to which the plant regularly improves its performance. Thus, two working groups were created to solve problems of optimizing processes and increasing productivity on technological lines for the production of herbicides in the form of VSC and fungicides in the form of SC. The measures taken were successful: on the VSC line, it was possible to reduce the process execution time by 37%, and on the SK line, by 30%. In addition, the level of work in progress on both lines was reduced by a third. As a result, on the VSK line, the overall productivity was increased by 37%, and on the SC line - by 52%.
Also, a digital information center was deployed at the August-Alabuga enterprise, which automatically collects data from programs for monitoring and analyzing the overall efficiency of the equipment (on 6 production lines), Excel spreadsheets and accounting systems.
“The InfoCenter, our new digital tool, combines visualization of historical and current production progress, as well as deviations from key performance indicators and the target state of processes. This helps to identify problems and minimize losses through the adoption of effective management decisions and visual control, - says Vladimir Alin, General Director of Avgust-Alabuga LLC. – Thanks to the functioning of the information center, the heads of production departments objectively determine what losses exist and how they can be reduced in order to increase output without using additional capacities and resources. Also, this tool ensures effective communication of all participants of operational meetings in a single information space.”
Another important innovation was a project to reduce water consumption during flushing of process lines and increase its efficiency. To achieve this goal, a method using a steam plant was applied. With its help, it was possible to reduce the amount of water used by 39%, and the washing efficiency increased by 74%.
The enterprise conducted off-season training for employees on a wide range of topics, including "Fundamentals of Lean Production", "Quality Control in the Production Process", "Labor Safety", "First Aid", "Electrical Safety", "Fire Safety", etc. Also, the team of the plant was trained in the course "Industrial tourism". The corresponding career guidance project, the purpose of which is to interest talented young people in the work of industrial enterprises, is being implemented in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone. The factory representatives received the necessary skills to build routes and conduct excursions to make them more fun and useful for attracting new employees.
