PepsiCo will open a plant for the production of salty snacks in the Novosibirsk region in early 2022, said Nadezhda Zueva, head of the regional investment development agency in Moscow.
After the New Year, PepsiCo will launch the first two production lines, she said. A total of six are planned, reports TASS.
The plant will become the third PepsiCo enterprise for the production of salted snacks in Russia and will produce more than 60 thousand tons of products per year.
The company is also launching an agricultural program aimed at providing the new enterprise with local raw materials. For this, trainings and education will be held for potato growers in the region.
