Company KWS began construction of a plant for the production of selective seeds of sugar beets in the Lipetsk region. Investments in production will amount to € 18 million.
It is planned that the company will begin its work at the end of 2021.
According to the press service of the government of the Lipetsk region: "Construction of the company’s plant KWS started on the Yelets site of the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone. To implement the project, the company provided a land plot of 5 hectares, where an enterprise with a total area of 7 sq. m. "
The capacity of the enterprise is designed to produce 650 thousand sugar beet seeds per year, the products are planned to be sold to Russian customers, as well as delivered to Belarus, Kazakhstan and other neighboring countries.
