The authorities of the Sverdlovsk region have extended the period of preferential rent for agricultural land and extended the very opportunity to take land for a ruble until the end of 2023. We are talking about previously unused agricultural land. The decree signed by the governor of the region will help support farmers who ensure food security in the Sverdlovsk region.
The conditional rent for plots taken in 2022 and 2023 is set for one year from the date of conclusion of the lease agreement. Farmers can use the funds saved on renting a land plot for the work necessary to put the land into circulation.
“The rent in the amount of one ruble applies to agricultural land plots that have not been leased since 2019. This makes it possible to involve lands that have not been used for a long time into agricultural circulation,” said Alexei Kuznetsov, Deputy Governor, Minister for State Property Management of the Sverdlovsk Region.
Recall that, at the initiative of the head of the region, the decision to lease previously unused agricultural land for the ruble until the end of 2022 was adopted by the regional Cabinet in May last year.
For seven months, from June to the end of December 2022, Sverdlovsk farmers rented 27 land plots for one ruble for agricultural work. The total area of land leased at a preferential rate is 1059 hectares.
The list of vacant agricultural lands is posted on the official website of the Ministry for State Property Management of the Sverdlovsk Region and on the websites of municipalities.
