The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance reports that the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) of Scotland has provided information in accordance with the requirements of international standards for phytosanitary measures to recognize High Grade potato production zones located in Scotland free from organisms included to the Unified List of Quarantine Objects of the EAEU.
High Grade is a production area for high quality seed potatoes with a special status assigned by the European Commission.
The documents were analyzed by the Rosselkhoznadzor, and taking into account the scientific substantiation of the All-Russian Plant Quarantine Center subordinate to the Service, it was concluded that the following economic entities operating in the High Grade zone fully comply with the requirements of international and Russian legislation in the field of plant quarantine and can be recognized as production sites free of quarantine objects:
• Saltire Seed Ltd, Potterton, Aberdeen, AB23 8UY;
• Andrew Lorimer, Kincraigie, Castleton of Essie, Glamis, Angus, Scotland DD8 1SJ;
