The layout of the system in the first version is quite simple: the drawbar of the unit clings to the hitch of the tractor, on the rear of which an additional frame is installed, where the cut-in discs are located on the pivot pins, depending on the working width. Due to the commands of the navigation controller with the help of the hydraulic distributor, the operator has the opportunity to change the angle of attack of the cutting discs for the most accurate retention of the unit on the guidance line. The system is based on the operation of one hydraulic cylinder. With regard to the steering system (TongueSteer), here the leading role belongs to the potentiometer, which monitors the position of the machine. The third type - steerable support wheels - has the same principle of operation as on cutting discs.
The fourth type, SideShift, or Side Shift, is used on light implements that are mounted on a three-point hitch. By sending a signal from the navigation controller through the hydraulic valve, the frame moves laterally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tractor.
