Information about agricultural land is proposed to be combined in a single state register. On December 21, the State Duma adopted the corresponding bill in the second reading.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ivan Lebedev said that this project is aimed at timely identification of changes in the state of agricultural land and information support of state land supervision. The lack of a unified information base, according to him, makes it difficult to obtain information about land by rights holders of land plots and state and local authorities.
The register will act as a source of information for conducting land supervision activities, as well as a state information resource containing information confirmed during state land monitoring on the actual use of the land plot and agricultural land.
Regions must collect, summarize and submit information to the registry. Regional authorities will provide the Ministry of Agriculture with information on the state and use of agricultural land.
"The implementation of the bill will allow you to quickly receive up-to-date and reliable information about agricultural land, as well as their suitability for agricultural production," said the Deputy Minister.
