The results of the year on the commissioning of unused agricultural land were discussed at a meeting of the government of the Leningrad Region. In 2021, 3,1 thousand hectares of agricultural land were put into circulation in the region
“When adjusting the budget, it is necessary to provide for an increase in funding for land reclamation work to put land into circulation and for municipalities to register land for cadastral registration. This will allow attracting investors, providing land for new investment projects, increasing the production of agricultural products, ”said the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko.
Thanks to the developed "road map" for the involvement of unused land in circulation and measures of state support, an increase in sown areas is observed in the Leningrad Region. The total controlled area of agricultural land is 6,7 thousand hectares, 22% more than planned, 584 violations were found on an area of 3,3 thousand hectares (70% more than in 2020).
Also, thanks to the measures of state support for the period from 2013 to 2021, peasant farms have put 1,43 thousand hectares of land plots on the cadastral register and are involved in turnover. Since the beginning of the implementation in 2019 of the Leningradsky hectare program for the provision of land on preferential terms for farming in Boksitogorsky, Lodeynopolsky, Podporozhsky and Slantsevsky districts, 247,61 hectares of land plots have been distributed.
