The Saudi Arabian Agricultural Development Fund has signed a 186 million Saudi Riyals ($49,5 million) contract with Al Jouf agricultural company, known as Jadco, to finance a new french fry plant, Arab News reported.
Al Jouf Agriculture Development Co. was founded in 1988, is engaged in the production of strategic crops such as wheat, potatoes and onions.
The plant will have a production capacity of 36 tons per year, the fund said.
Financing from the Agricultural Development Fund will be carried out for 10 years, starting from 2025 and ending in 2034. Support for agricultural projects in various regions of the Kingdom is one of the main tasks of this organization.
