The complex of reclamation enterprises for processing bogs will allow them to grow potatoes in their drained territories, Vsluh.ru reports, citing the government of the Tyumen region.
The program for draining peat bogs is continued by the Uporovskaya agricultural firm KRiMM. As noticed Gennady Ryazanov, CEO KRiMMa, peat is great for growing potatoes. But the depletion of peat boggy areas will not be enough: a complex of reclamation enterprises will be carried out.
For many years now, the agricultural company has been engaged in a program to return abandoned work sites and develop new ones. In addition, during the work, specialists create a network of branch channels and lay country roads.
KRiMM is already supplying seed potatoes to Uzbekistan. So, 600 tons of elite class varieties were sent there - Rosara and Red Scarlet. Agribusiness plans include expanding the client base.
