Logistic collapse - this is how experts characterize the situation with the supply of imported ventilation, refrigeration and energy supply equipment to Russia for the agricultural sector, reports "Kommersant".
The Ministry of Agriculture predicts that due to the lack of equipment imported from abroad, this year there is a risk of disruption to projects for the construction of storage facilities for potatoes and vegetables. This was announced on April 20 at a meeting with representatives of the regions - large potato producers, said the director of the department of crop production of the ministry, Roman Nekrasov, several participants in the meeting told Kommersant. The Ministry of Agriculture raised this topic, as the state compensates companies for part of the costs of building storage facilities.
Not all equipment fell under EU sanctions, but there were problems with its delivery due to disrupted logistics, says a Kommersant source. There is a risk that part of the imported equipment will not be able to be purchased and brought into the country, Kommersant's interlocutors convey the words of Mr. Nekrasov. In addition, according to the official, due to problems with logistics, the cost of equipment that still comes to the Russian Federation has noticeably risen.
Kommersant's source acknowledges the seriousness of the problem: it is impossible to replace completely retired foreign equipment with Russian equipment, since imported components are used in its production. “And there are also serious difficulties with their supplies,” he explains.
The Ministry of Agriculture told Kommersant that some difficulties with the supply of components and equipment from abroad "are resolved by promptly changing routes and reorienting to alternative suppliers."
