On May 19, the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov checked how the sowing campaign was going in the Taldomsky urban district, he also held a meeting with farmers, during which they discussed the further development of the industry and support measures, the press service of the governor and the government of the Moscow Region reports.
“Our task is to make agriculture in the Moscow region, as before, the most advanced and innovative. Large programs are approved by the president. The government is now implementing a number of measures for land reclamation, vegetable storage, seed production, genetics - all this is fundamentally important for us, - Andrey Vorobyov said. “Thanks to our agrarians, farmers - they have picked up good pace and have already sown almost half of the plan. The area of spring sowing this year is 13% more, which is almost 250 hectares.”
In the Moscow region, spring field work was carried out on an area of almost 105 thousand hectares, which is 45,8 thousand hectares more than on the same date last year. To date, 56,5 thousand hectares of cereals and legumes, 15,3 thousand hectares of oilseeds, 4,3 thousand hectares of potatoes, 3,7 thousand hectares of open ground vegetables, 24,9 thousand hectares of fodder crops have been sown .
“Recently, the equipment has become more accurate, it is much easier to work, but the qualification of the tractor driver should be higher. We plant 20-25 hectares a day, we work from 6 in the morning, we try to meet the planting deadlines, ”said the tractor operator of the Bunyatino agricultural company, who has been working at the enterprise for 10 years.
Now 30% of the cultivated agricultural land in the region uses land reclamation systems. This helps keep crops safe in the event of drought or heavy rainfall, as well as increase production. Most of the technical facilities were built back in the 1980s, and many need repairs and modernization.
In 2022, 9 reclamation projects are being implemented in the Moscow region: 2 projects for berries in Naro-Fominsk and Shchelkovo (140 hectares), 6 for potatoes and vegetables in Dmitrov, Kolomna, Lukhovitsy and Taldom (1170 hectares), as well as for grain in Taldome (290 ha).
“Reclamation is, of course, very important, because it affects productivity. There is a federal program, there is our participation. We see that those who use this system pay off their costs - a good harvest,” the governor said.
Also, as part of his working trip, Andrey Vorobyov inspected the potato storage of the Bunyatino agricultural company, the main enterprise of the Dmitrovskie Vegetables group of companies. Up to 10 thousand tons of seed tubers are sorted and stored here.
Producers near Moscow start collecting and selling potatoes and vegetables from open ground in July. Long-term storage begins in September. Potato stores with active ventilation and vegetable stores with refrigeration equipment allow you to store products from September to May inclusive.
This year, Dmitrovsky Vegetables put into circulation about 200 hectares of land. In 2021, they received subsidies for land reclamation work, for equipment designed for this purpose, and for the construction of a new vegetable store in Taldomsky District. Geodetic work is currently underway at the site. The facility with a capacity of 10 thousand tons is planned to be commissioned in 2023. The company is also considering the construction of two vegetable stores with a total area of 2024 thousand square meters by 20. m. in Dmitrovsky
“We went to the Taldom city district, here is a seed potato project. The field was under 300 hectares, it was used by 30 percent, it was swampy and waterlogged. In 2020, we carried out a comprehensive land reclamation, thanks to the Moscow Region for its support,” said Sergey Filippov, President of the Dmitrovskie Vegetables Group. “We are preparing for the construction of a huge vegetable store, because the task is to increase production in the Moscow region by 150 tons.”
The meeting with the governor was attended by heads of enterprises that planned the construction of vegetable stores in the Moscow region in 2022-2024.
“We have very serious opportunities for growing a “borscht set”: carrots, potatoes, beets, cabbage. It is important to keep it in good condition until spring. Now our storage facilities are designed for 550 thousand tons, we need to increase the capacity by another 150-200 thousand tons,” Andrey Vorobyov said. - There is a federal and regional program - it compensates for part of the construction costs. Today, the technologies and capabilities of farmers say that over the next 2-3 years we will increase storage capacity by 30%. This will allow farmers to collect more crops and supply products to the market not only in the autumn-winter period, but also in the spring.”
In total, it is planned to implement 17 projects on the territory of the region to create new storage facilities with a capacity of about 150 thousand tons in urban districts: Taldomsky, Kolomna, Dmitrovsky, Egorievsk, Lukhovitsy, Stupino. This will help stabilize prices and prevent seasonal growth in the cost of vegetable products.
At the meeting, they talked about import substitution of equipment necessary for the functioning of potato and vegetable stores, and discussed support measures.
“We grow potatoes, beets, carrots, asparagus, onions, we make chips. We see real steps, support from the Moscow region. We plan to participate in the program for seed production and the construction of storage facilities. I would like to be more efficient, sell our products more days a year, so long-term storage is very important,” said Sergey Pryamov, General Director of Ozery JSC.
At the meeting, entrepreneurs told Andrei Vorobyov about the need for additional areas for sowing. The issue of putting unused land plots in private ownership into economic circulation was also raised.
Earlier, the governor met with landowners and representatives of agricultural enterprises, who agreed to sell or lease land on mutually beneficial terms. Now there are 23 projects in operation for a total area of over 49 thousand hectares. This is either a sale / lease, or putting into circulation directly by the owner. Transactions are being carried out on previously uncultivated lands on an area of more than 20 thousand hectares in urban districts: Volokolamsky, Shakhovskaya, Yegoryevsk, Orekhovo-Zuevsky, Voskresensky, Istra.
Today, the draft law on the creation of a new mechanism for the alienation of a land plot for agricultural purposes for involvement in circulation is being coordinated. Previously, the withdrawal procedure took an average of 5-6 years, and after the adoption of the law it will take from 7 months.
