The Ministry of Agriculture of the Sakhalin Region held a regular meeting with representatives of regional administrations in the format of video conference calls. Three main issues were brought up on the agenda - the progress of the harvesting campaign for potatoes and vegetables, the results of the forage harvesting campaign and the centralized supply of feed for the needs of personal subsidiary farms.
The crop industry is finishing harvesting. The information on the progress of the harvesting campaign of potatoes and vegetables in the region was announced by Gennady Lysenko, deputy director of the department of crop production and small forms of farming.
According to the results of this year, the program for the development of agriculture in the Sakhalin Region envisages receiving 100 thousand tons of potatoes in all forms of farming, 40,7 thousand tons - in agricultural enterprises and farms. This is more than enough to fully provide the region's population. The gross harvest of tubers in farms and agricultural enterprises amounted to 46,5 thousand tons, which is not only higher than the plan of this year, but also the level of last year by 700 tons.
By the end of the year, it is planned to receive 46 thousand tons of open field vegetables in all categories of farms (106% by 2016), including 34,9 thousand tons of open ground vegetables. The agricultural enterprises and farms should receive 24 thousand tons of open field vegetables. With such a forecast, the self-sufficiency of the Sakhalin region with vegetables in open ground will be more than 80%. It is planned to collect 11 thousand tons of protected ground vegetables in all categories of farms, including in temporary film greenhouses, and 5,5 thousand tons in industrial greenhouses. The provision with winter vegetables should be 75%.
Valery Ryzhkov, Director of the Department of Livestock Breeding and Investment Development, presented information on the preliminary results of the forage harvesting campaign. The plans for agricultural enterprises and peasant farms were to procure more than 140 thousand tons of feed. As a result, the amount of already harvested feed is almost 155 thousand tons.
The speaker touched upon the topic of providing compound feeds to personal subsidiary farms. The director of the department pointed out to the representatives of the administrations of municipalities on the need for timely delivery of compound feed to farms, the promptness of issuing documents and returning them to suppliers. According to information, in the Tomarinsky district, the delivery of compound feed was completed by almost 75%, in Makarovsky - by 81%, in Dolinsky - by 78%, in Korsakovsky - by 81%, in Kholmsky - by 62%, in Anivsky - by 76%, in Nevelskoye - by 78%, in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - by 84%. In Okha district, the percentage of implementation is 92%, in Nogliksky - 70%, Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky - 62%, in Tymovsky - 74%, in Smirnykhovsky - almost 100%, in Poronaysky - 77%, in Uglegorsky - 60%, in Boshnyakovo - 46%, in Shakhtersk - 58%, in the Kuril region - 64%.
Representatives of a number of municipalities, after the reports, answered questions of interest. Representatives of the administrations of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Korsakovsky, Makarovsky, Tomarinsky, Kholmsky, Tymovsky and Uglegorsky districts spoke about the work on the ground.
