This was announced by the head of the Department of Crop Production, Melioration of the Ministry of Agriculture of Yakutia Vyacheslav Gavriliev at a briefing on the progress of the fodder campaign in the republic, reports official information portal of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
According to him, in all categories of farms in Yakutia, as of September 22, the potato crop was harvested from 82% of the total sown area (113% compared to the corresponding period last year).
For open and closed ground vegetables, this figure today is 61%.
Today, because of the rains, grain crops are being harvested at a slow pace. Wheat was harvested from 1161 ha, barley from 928 ha, oats from 3 ha.
Recall that the total sown area in the region is 48,5 thousand hectares, of which 10 hectares are grain crops, 932 hectares are potatoes, 6 hectares are open ground vegetables and 711 thousand hectares are fodder crops.
