In Kabardino-Balkaria, as of October 1 of this year, all categories of farms harvested 264,8 thousand tons of open ground vegetables from an area of 15,3 thousand hectares. Such data are provided by Severo-Kavkazstat, reports official website of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
In comparison with the same period last year, the gross harvest of vegetables is 32% more.
The yield for the current date also exceeded last year's by 30,4 centners per hectare and amounted to almost 173 centners per hectare.
Currently, harvesting of various types of cabbage, carrots, and beets is being completed in the fields.
In total, 16,8 thousand hectares are occupied by open ground vegetables this year, which is 109% of last year's area. Of these, 10,5 thousand hectares of vegetable plantations are concentrated in the organized sector - agricultural organizations, farms and individual entrepreneurs.
