2023 million hectares will be allocated for the 4,4 harvest in the Orenburg region - at the level of last year, according to telegram channel Governor of the region Denis Pasler. Cereals and leguminous crops will occupy 2,7 million hectares, industrial crops - 1,1 million hectares, fodder crops - 482 thousand hectares, potatoes, vegetables and melons - 13,5 thousand hectares. Last year, winter crops were sown on an area of 844,3 thousand hectares. According to the results of the tests, 86% of the crops are in good and satisfactory condition.
According to the governor, the region is fully provided with seeds for spring sowing. This year it is planned to introduce almost 128 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers in the region. More than 40% of the annual plan has already been purchased. The Orenburg region is one of the few regions in Russia where part of the cost of purchasing mineral fertilizers is compensated. This year, the authorities increased this support to 244 million rubles.
The head of the region also noted that Orenburg agricultural producers are actively updating their fleets. Last year, we purchased equipment worth 5,8 billion rubles. As of March 1, we have already purchased various equipment for 3,155 billion rubles. There are plans to increase purchases - in February, the authorities signed an additional cooperation agreement with the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant. More than 90% of equipment is already ready for sowing.
