According to the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Rostov, Volgograd and Astrakhan regions and the Republic of Kalmykia, an excess of harmful substances in the crop tubers was recorded after an on-site inspection in the Limansky district.
Department specialists took samples of agricultural products grown here to determine the residual amount of nitrates and pesticides. Based on the results of the examinations, it was established that the nitrate content in potatoes was above the permissible level.
The regional Rosselkhoznadzor explained that due to this fact, the owner of the surveyed agricultural land plot was warned against violating the mandatory requirements of the land legislation of the Russian Federation.
