The head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Vladislav Murashov, noted that 2023 was a successful year, especially for the crop production sector.
In the Moscow region, records in agriculture consist of several main components. These include adherence to technology, professional personnel, timely government support, and favorable weather conditions.
For the new year, the region plans to increase the area under major crops. Thus, potatoes will be planted on an area of 14 thousand hectares, which is higher than the 2023 figure. And open ground vegetables will occupy 7 thousand hectares, which is comparable to the level of last year.
