The Russian region is considering the possibility of participating in the implementation of investment projects in Central Asia. As reported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan (RT) in Yekaterinburg, today we are talking about the construction of a center for storage, drying, sorting, packaging and logistics of vegetables and fruits in the Khatlon region.
Work on the project was discussed this week during an online meeting organized by the parties. The delegations of the two countries were headed by Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Vasily Kozlov and First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tatarstan Khurshed Mirzo.
Fruit and vegetable products from Tajikistan are in great demand in the domestic market of the Middle Urals, including among chain trading companies. However, the volume of supplies is not yet sufficient to meet the needs of the region. During the conversation, we were also able to discuss some practical steps to improve the situation during the first half of 2024.
